Learning styles

I am going to tell you al the different types of learning styles there are, what does Visual, Auditory, Kinaesthetic mean and what type of learner am I and were I found this out and you can also found out what type of learner you are too.
Active
Reflective

Learning by doing – active learners, of practical nature, the need to get involved.  Enjoy working in groups and learn to figure out problems by working together and trying to figure out the problem.

Learn through reflection – sitting back and thinking before doing.  They think things through, evaluate the various options and learn by analysis. A reflective leaner is someone who looks back on a day or period of time and thinks about the discussed that they had on that day

Sensory
Intuitive
Using a method or a framework to address tasks and solve problems – very prescriptive, sometimes a repetitive learner.  Look first for the facts and prefer concrete, practical and procedural information

Use of more innovative methods.  Dislike repetition and more into spontaneity.  Like to discover new ways of doing things.  Look for meaning and prefer conceptual, innovative and theoretical information. Intuitive leaners are not thinking about here or now, they are leaners that like bringing up ideas and always thinking about the future.

Visual
Verbal
Visual learners work more effectively in a visual environment – through maps, drawings, pictures or spider diagrams. They can also remember important stuff that they seen/read.

Verbal learners are more effective with written tasks, instructions and guidelines.  They like to hear or read information and understand best explanations that use words. You would know that someone’s an verbal leaner if they said these more common then anything else:
·         Tell me word for word
·         Let’s talk later
·         The word you’re looking for is
·         In other words

Sequential
Global
These learners progress by taking small steps.  They need information in a linear and orderly manner.  They piece together the details to understand the bigger picture. These learners like to put things in order.

Global learners like to tackle tasks and problems as a whole.  They like to see the big picture first and then fill in the details systematically.  This is called a holistic approach to learning. A gobel learner like to start with big ideas then go out and study then to learn all he parts.

3 different types of learners

Visual

Visual learners work more effectively in a visual environment through maps, drawings, pictures or spider diagrams. They can also remember important stuff that they seen/read. Visual learners can easily learn how to  do different learning techniques to help improve their visual learner's skills and they are:
Retention and this is used for students that they can remember information better when it's represented and learned visually and verbally.
Reading Comprehension and this is used for graphic organizers to help improve the reading comprehension of students.
Student achievement and students that has disabilities or not, can improve their achievement goals through out all of their area's and grade levels.

Auditory
Auditory learners work more effectively through listening. An auditory learner has to hear what is being said to know what s/he has to do to compete the task. Auditory can remember songs, plays and quotes by just listening to them once or twice. Auditory  learners can easily learn how to  do different learning techniques to help improve Auditory learners and they are:

Auditory would record their notes and then listen to it repeatedly rather then reading the notes out
Remember details by trying by hearing old discussions and take part in activates in school and at home.

Kinaesthetic
Kinaesthetic learner work more effectively through touching stuff and they are people that like to work with their hands such as making things with their hands such as a hand-made bench, chair, desk or a stand. Kinaesthetic learners can easily learn how to do different learning techniques to help improve Kinaesthetic learners by doing:
Work on things like building things or to work that is based on working with your hands more then any other job.

I am a…….

Visual learner

I am a visual leaner. I found this out on the website http://brainboxx.co.uk/a3_aspects/pages/VAK_quest.htm

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0jHzXSFTRzNOlztGz0zGRBQdiO4O7EDlGeHaruw266wG0wHZh2d4VrHX8KK3-f4COGEtoPONdraxYoLT-aoqmhdQMkFP_pycukWIS3oCEAICYB_B5G01Sy2Y4PEgx1TWdb7R2YdSDo1fP/s1600/visual-learner-287x300.jpgAnd the final result I got most light blue over all which tells me at the bottom that am a visual leaner. The ways that I can get better at being a visual learner is that I can remember information better, I can help improve my reading with picture books, I can improve my achievement goals across content areas and grade levels and students like me can use a graphic organizer to achieve their higher thinking and critical thinking skills and while working with data, I can collect data literacy and found out info while using tables and plots to visualy investigate and manipulate data. The thinking and learning techniques that I seen will help improve my learning techniques. This technique works well students develop an graphic organizer their higher order and their thinking and critical thinking skills are enhanced.
